FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO I ENTER THE ORCHARD?

Please use the entrance on Hossler Rd.  Take the field lane across from the farmhouse located at 1375 Hossler Rd and head up the hill.  You'll find someone at the shed in the middle of the orchard who can tell you where to pick.

DO YOU TAKE CHECK OR CREDIT CARD?

We do accept checks and all major credit cards (with a 3.5% convenience fee).  We also take venmo with a $1.00 convenience fee.

DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN CONTAINERS?

We prefer that you pick into our containers so we have a tare weight, but many customers like to bring their own boxes to take their fruit home.  Paper bags are also provided free of charge if you don't have a box!

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY PEACHES?

If the peaches aren't quite ready to eat, we recommend laying your peaches out flat on the counter or on newspaper.

HOW SHOULD I DRESS AND WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Closed toed shoes are preferred, as there are occasional stray sticks and thistles in the orchard, although we do our best to keep a clean house! Bring plenty of water to drink, and if you have a wagon or cart you want to use to haul your full baskets from the orchard to the checkout, please bring it along. We have a few wagons but during busy times one may not be available.  It's also a great idea to bring boxes or reusable bags to take your fruit home in.

WHAT IF I (OR MY LOVED ONE) DOESN'T GET AROUND WELL BUT STILL WANTS TO COME?

Let us know when you arrive if walking is difficult, and we will do our best to send you to an area where you can get close to the trees with your car for easy picking.  We also try to have some prepicked fruit available if you are unable to pick yourself, but please call ahead or email us if you are looking for a half bushel or more of prepicked fruit.

DO YOU SELL PREPICKED PEACHES?

We typically try to have prepicked peaches in quarts if you are looking for just a few to eat, but if you are looking for large quantities (a half bushel or more) it's best to call or email us ahead of time so we can ensure we have it ready for you.
